I really do suck at this blog stuff now don't I?

There used to be a time I'd be writing every day on my blog - way back when I still used to own my own domain and website.  Actually I think I still DO own the name "quietwhisperings.com" I just don't have the domain space. I'm hoping maybe in the next 12 months to be able to afford to get it all back up and running again full time.  There was that stint a few years back when I was making some $$ getting paid to blog, but honestly, it turned my website into a spam fest I wasn't happy with so I soon stopped doing it.  And then really? My life got pretty boring so why bother posting about it? lol  No one really wants or needs to hear me moan and groan about shit beyond my control :)

So what's new??  Well!!  My last post here 6 months ago told about my new job! Well guess what?? I have yet ANOTHER new one!! lol I started a month ago at our local Circle K/Irving Convenience store as a cashier.  Almost double the hours I was getting at Dixie Lee!  Not too sure I'm liking the over night shifts I have to do every other week, but I enjoy the money I make from working them ;)

Alyssa graduated from NSCC June 12th with her diploma in Culinary Arts so YAY for her! So freaking proud of her for sticking it out and doing well at it :) Now, she just needs to a) decide what she wants to DO with that diploma, and b) go find herself a decent job somewhere :)

Yesterday was Meg's 14th birthday - she spent the day hanging out with her friends and enjoying an evening of fireworks ending our Privateer weekend.  Today is her last full day of Jr High, Friday it's report card day and then September?? It's off to High School!  Whew! My babies have grown up way too fast!

And me? I'm hanging in there.  The off again on again relationship I've struggled through for the last 6 years is apparently off again at the moment.  He's not happy with his life, so lets make MINE miserable too.  He'll be back. He always does come crawling back. Not sure why I let him other then the simple fact that I love him. And he loves me so he tells me.  We shall see what the future has in store with him. One more chance is what he's been told he gets...so lets see how smart he is, and if he actually takes it.

And today?? I wanted to sleep in as late as possible because I have one of those dreaded overnight shifts tonight (11pm-7am) but nope, text message at 8:45am (but it was from my lovey, CuppyCake so it's ok! lol) and then Megs texted me wanting food, I had to go to the post office, the bank, get gas, start laundry....siiiigh! It's going to be a long day and an even longer night if I don't get a nap sometime soon! lol  But right now?? Time to do some much needed housework, get the laundry in the dryer, maybe mow the lawn...then I can think about a nap.  Later!!

Wow - it's been almost a year!

A very long year without posting anything! That's bad, no?? And I have some awesomely good news to actually share! Yay me :)

1st - back in Oct/12 I interviewed for a job - and GOT IT! After 6 years of being unemployed I was back in the working world again - A new restaurant was opening up here in town, Dixie Lee (think KFC but better? lol) and I was hired in a full time position. Go me!

2nd - two weeks before Christmas I finally found a new place to live after living with friends for the last 16 months. Holy crap.  To say Christmas passed by me in a huge blur is an understatement, what with working, trying to clean and fix up a horribly neglected apartment and arrange to get all my stuff outta storage.  I did it tho!!   The girls and I have been officially out on our own for a week now. Ahhhhhh,  It's been lovely! Now fingers crossed work continues to go well, my hours stop being cut down (sigh) and that I can continue to afford this new found freedom?  man. lol.

Today the girls went back to school after their long Christmas break so I've been enjoying having the place to myself...done a little cleaning, a little decluttering and waiting for my friend Crystal to arrive for a visit.  Also enjoying a day off today too! Now if it would just warm up a bit it would be perfect :)
