Wow....do ppl still come here?

I have to say yes since I can check my stats on the visitors that hit here lol and I've not blogged a thing for over a year. A year!! That's sad! Very very sad! It's not that I've stopped watching tv or movies, or reading books - I guess I've gotten blogged out, eh?

I still blog - but just at one place now - http://www.quietwhisperings.com - but maybe I should start paying attention here again. I won't make any promises tho! lol

Harry Potter - the final book...

Did you like it? hate it? cry at all while reading it?? I personally loved it! In fact, in the first week of having it I read it 3 times! LOL Even Alyssa read through it very quickly which is awesome for her! (and she really liked it too) I liked the way JK Rowlings tied up the loose ends with the last chapter of the book and it's going to be interesting to see how this plays out when it finally gets filmed!

I was sad to see the characters that died - but happy that the *main* set of people made it through to go on to happy lives...I think I get way too caught up in Mr Harry Potter and his friends! LOL

And so it's over....

Big Brother that is. What a freaking let down the finale show was! LOL I didn't care for either of the final two, although Evil Dick WAS fun to watch at times LOL A friend of mine and I wonder just how long it will be before he has his own show?? LOL

But now it's on to bigger and better things - SURVIVOR!! I am so excited that my Thursday night viewing is back to normal! yay! Can't wait to see what's in store for us this year :)

I'm still here!

I know it doesn't seem like it, but I AM here - I've read a few new books that need to be reviewed, as well as a ton of movies, and some TV shows to report on, but I've gotten very lazy in the blogging aspect of my life. I always seem to slow down once school winds down and the girls are home again - that's mainly because Alyssa and Megan hog this computer and I rarely get a chance to be on it!

WTH? Alec Baldwin loses it....

Wow. Words almost fail me with this one.

That is a voice message that Mr Baldwin left for his 11 year old daughter. Yes, 11. Now, I have had times where I have snapped at my children in frustration, but never have I flipped a tirade like that. The man needs help. Some serious help. And it will be interesting to see how he talks his way out of it.

Makes you wonder why his ex wife, Kim Bassinger seems to want to keep the child away from him?

Some good movies coming soon...

I've got a list of a few movies I'm hoping to see in the next month or two, the first one is Disturbia - think Hitchcock's Rear Window, the teen version! One young man, under house arrest, spends all his time looking out his windows, spying on his neighbors. But he gets more then he bargains for when he discovers very weird goings on. Is it a serial killer? Or just an over active imagination? I'll have to let you know!

On the funny side is Wild Hogs - a cast of old men trying to act like hot young biker studs?? LOL I think this one is going to be seriously funny! And hey, with a cast like Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence, John Travolta how can you go wrong?

And last but not least is Blades of Glory - I'm willing to give anything with Will Ferrell a try!

American Idol's Chris Daughtry...

Remember him? He made it to the final 4th or 5th of last season's AI and I was crushed when he was voted off! He is an amazing singer (or at least I think so!)

I just recently bought his cd, simply titled Daughtry is just awesome - I love every track on it and listen to it constantly! If you are looking for some new music for your cd player, then really - pick this one up. You won't regret it!

And hey, he's very easy on the eyes too ;)

Happy Feet....

the girls and I watched the movie Happy Feet this weekend - Megs is on her 2nd viewing as I am typing this actually. It's a cute movie. The girls really liked it. I thought it was ok - not spectacular but cute none the less. The music in it is really good tho, and I just finished downloading one of the songs from the soundtrack:
Gia Farrel's Hit Me Up - this is one awesome song - very fast paced - Megs and I were just bopping all over the family room to it! I'll definitely be buying the soundtrack CD :)

The Capo's Mistress

I love to read, and I love reading a good mystery too. The girls and I can't wait for this movie! We've loved the first 2 so much. I mean really - Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom? Together in one movie? Yummie combination, don't you think??

Baby news!

Salma Hayek, 40, is expecting her first baby, has gotten engaged, and will soon be married to a Mr Francois-Henri Pinault. With a Momma like that, I bet this is going to be one beautiful baby!!

Salma is a busy woman producing ABC's hit show, "Ugly Betty" - which stars America Ferrera - if she seems familiar, she was also in the movie "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" - although she doesn't look anything like her character Carmen!

Are you a fan of NBC's show Medium? I have gotten out of the habit of watching this season, but I am a big fan of the show.
